Shooting male portraits requires a different approach to shooting women. Shaun and I had a great time shooting this session in the studio a few months ago and captured some great images. Although the lighting setups are almost identical there are key posing rules to remember that make male portraits visually pop and impress. I detail a few of these male posing tips here in this post.
A professional headshot is so important in the age of social media and the need for an online presence. Ciara Reed who is a classical Soprano and graduate from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, reached out for some images for just this purpose.
Holte School asked me to shoot an informative film detailing their IPeace restorative process. IPeace is a program developed by Dr Hilary Cremin who is a Senior Lecturer at Cambridge University, researching and teaching peace education and conflict resolution among pupils in schools. Her book Positive Peace in schools includes references to Holte School and it’s successes, adopting the IPeace program.
Recently I was commissioned by Birmingham City council to create some videos to outline the 2018 School Safeguarding Innovation Fund Award Winners. The innovative projects are detailed with narration from the project leads and examples of projects impacts and learnings.
