Birmingham Weddings – What I Do

My work as a Birmingham wedding photographer reflects a keen eye for detail and a passion for capturing every moment of your special day.  Bringing my story-telling focus to your wedding day photography, I ensure images are natural, candid, and in a documentary style.  This often appeals to modern couples, who worry about posing and appearing artificial. I have a creative eye and periodically use various techniques, like off-camera flash, or shooting through objects, to enhance the feel and memory of what is a significant event in your life.

Dedicated to making sure that your wedding day photos reflect the love you both share, it is key that candid moments are beautifully preserved in your wedding portfolio. Moments like,

  • The bride getting into her dress or seeing her makeup for the first time.
  • Her father or the bridal party seeing her for the first time.
  • The first look of the groom as he sees the bride walk down the aisle for the wedding vows,
  • The look between the couple as the groom makes his speech and dedicates a portion to how beautiful his bride is.

Ensuring there are moments for just you as a couple to take some portraits, away from the crowds, I feel are so important and speak to my portrait background. Unique moments of just the two of you and the camera.  These are great opportunities to create full-spread stunning images for your storybook or even statement pieces for your fireplace.

In addition to your love story, I also understand the importance of family connections and preserving those meaningful moments with your loved ones.  An inobtrusive style allows me to blend in seamlessly with the wedding day, so I am there for that quick smile, each tear, and those unforgettable ‘outpouring of emotion’ moments, that we all love looking back on and reliving post-wedding.  Weddings are a celebration and fun, so capturing that joy against the backdrop of your chosen wedding venue makes a beautiful retelling of the day you have planned and prepared.

In addition to beautiful images, I also offer wonderfully deluxe Italian albums from Graphistudio and a memorable slideshow set to music, for my wedding collections of 6 hours or more. These are great aids to retaining that wedding day newness and reliving the unfolding of your vows, repeatedly.

Whether it’s the beaming smiles, the tender embraces or the open-mouthed, head-back, laughter-filled moments, I will ensure that every precious memory is carefully preserved for you to cherish for a lifetime.

Birmingham Wedding Photographer Love Stories – What They Say

As a Midlands wedding photographer who is Birmingham-based,  I have had the honor of capturing the special wedding day moments for many happy couples. Some of these have been, just the best weddings with all the key elements and great memories for me as a photographer as well as the couples and their guests! The reviews from my weddings are below and center around my style of wedding photography, being natural and relaxed, perfectly encapsulating their love stories. It is always a privilege to shoot what could be a once-in-a-lifetime celebration for my wedding couples and I love the fact that each wedding reflects their unique personalities and romance.

Of course, I cover the West Midlands, Shropshire, Warwickshire and I do travel nationally and internationally too.

My Wedding Photographer FAQ

Click before for some Wedding Photography FAQs
Are you insured?
I am insured and believe this is an essential requirement as a photographer.  I have both public liability insurance and also professional indemnity insurance.  My equipment is also PAT tested regularly and proof can be sent to any venue that enquires.
When will I see my images?
After shooting your wedding, there are a number of features included in my editing process.   The usual turnaround is 4 weeks after your big day.   I will however provide you with some sneak peek images within a few days and you will be able to share these socially if you choose to.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! Payment plans are available and can be arranged at any time.  After paying your deposit for your wedding, you will be given a final date for when the complete invoice is due.  You can stagger your payments out throughout this period, but the wedding must be fully paid for 2 weeks before your wedding day.
Do you have a list of preferred suppliers that you can vouch for?
Yes, I do and I encourage suppliers that I like the work of to stay in touch for just that reason.   If you need a make-up artist, hair stylist, florist, DJ, etc; I can help with some names to consider.  If you need them, these will be shared after you have completed your booking and deposit.
Do you offer midweek discounts?
Yes, however, it depends on the location and my distance of travel.
Do you travel?
Yes, even though I am Birmingham-based, as regards my studio, I also travel around the UK and Internationally if required.   Mileage in the Uk may be requested depending on your collection chosen.

For International requests, air travel and accommodation are additional requirements, to your wedding collection.

Both me and my partner hate taking photographs! How will you capture our day in the style you show on your site?
Believe it or not, this is a question that pops up more and more.  I work to ensure that my presence on your day contributes to it being a memorable and happy experience.  My photography is a mix of documentary with creative elements, so I am not a ‘hands-on’ photographer anyway, directing your every move and asking you to look at the camera lens.

My aim is to show you both, what others see when they are around you.  Naturally interacting, laughing, holding hands, enjoying your time with your family and friends.   I do that by being inobtrusive, shooting candidly, and having set moments for creativity.
